To have the biggest impact, we target markets that are underserved by capital and renewable expertise, by a team with a long history in successful development and construction of major renewable projects.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the tax filings and audits for Dutch and Central and Eastern European (CEE) companies. This role will also involve assisting with tax planning, transfer pricing analysis, and providing support to internal departments and external advisers regarding tax issues related to new investment projects.
What you will do:
- Tax Filings: Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax returns for Dutch and CEE-based companies in accordance with local tax regulations.
- Tax Audits: Manage and oversee tax audits for Dutch and CEE entities, collaborating with local authorities and external advisers as needed.
- Tax Planning & Transfer Pricing: Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies, including conducting transfer pricing analysis to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Collaboration with Internal and External Teams: Work closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, legal, operations) and external tax advisors to resolve tax-related issues and queries, particularly regarding new investment projects and business initiatives.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support tax planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities, ensuring that tax implications are considered in strategic decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date on the latest tax regulations, legislation, and industry trends in the Netherlands and CEE region, advising the business on potential impacts.
What you bring:
- HBO or university degree in Tax Law, Economics, or a related field.
- Approximately 3-4 years of experience in tax compliance, tax audits, and tax planning, preferably with experience in Dutch and/or CEE tax systems.
- Strong understanding of Dutch and international tax regulations, transfer pricing rules, and local tax compliance practices.
- Analytical mindset with excellent financial analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external parties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus.
