Our mission is to work in underserved markets in Europe to achieve their net zero goals through the creation of a portfolio of 5GW of renewable energy and battery storage by 2028.
We currently work in Croatia, Italy, Poland, and Romania. We have already established a portfolio of onshore wind and solar projects, and at the end of 2023 we completed the construction of our first solar park and wind farm in Romania, which are now exporting power.

As DRI continues to expand its operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Government Relations Manager to support and drive our regulatory affairs and advocacy strategy. The role will focus on monitoring and analysing regulatory changes, advancing access to finance for renewable energy projects, and coordinating with industry associations to ensure DRI’s interests are well-represented in policy and regulatory discussions.
What you will do:
Regulatory Affairs Analysis & Monitoring
- Monitor and Analyse Regulatory Developments: Monitor key policy and regulatory changes in the renewable energy sector, especially in Italy, Romania, Croatia, Poland, and at the EU level, as well as access to finance and financial mechanisms for developing renewable energy and battery storage projects.
Briefings
- Prepare Briefings for Ministerial Meetings: Draft comprehensive policy briefs, position papers, and talking points for meetings with government ministers, regulatory bodies, and other senior stakeholders, ensuring DRI’s views are clearly represented.
Industry Associations & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate Industry Associations Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key industry associations and advocacy groups. Ensure DRI’s interests are well-represented in regulatory discussions, consultations, and policy development initiatives.
- Develop Strategic Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with government officials, regulators, financial stakeholders, and other key industry players to ensure DRI’s voice is heard and its interests are prioritized.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Internal Support
- Support the Department Head: Provide strategic support to the Head of Government Relations in executing the company’s government relations and advocacy strategies. Ensure alignment with DRI’s overall business objectives and priorities.
- Collaboration with Country Teams: Work closely with DRI’s country-specific teams in Italy, Romania, Croatia, Poland, and other markets to address local regulatory challenges, ensure compliance, and navigate government processes.
- Engage with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with project development, finance, legal, and communications teams to ensure that government relations efforts are aligned with broader business objectives and that projects meet regulatory and financial requirements.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Law, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs, preferably within the renewable energy, energy finance, or infrastructure sectors.
- Good knowledge of EU energy policies, regulatory frameworks, and financial mechanisms for renewable energy, with a strong understanding of the regulatory environments in Italy, Romania, Croatia, and Poland.
- Proven experience in coordinating with government agencies and industry associations to advocate for favorable policies and improve access to financing for renewable energy projects.
- Understanding of financial instruments, funding programs, green bonds, tax incentives, and subsidies available to renewable energy projects.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-level briefings, reports, and talking points for government officials and senior leadership.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Romanian, Croatian, or Polish is considered a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with policy monitoring tools and databases is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proactive, results-driven, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
